Capane had stood tall at the end of the first two events. Confronting Shaw at his every turn it was certain he would have another shot at the championship, after nearly becoming the first champion. Number one contender Da Shade was ready to take on Shaw, but an injury would find the championship vacated. Capane went on to face and then defeat Da Shade for the vacated championship on March 30, 2024. In his first title defense on April 27t, 2024 he defeated Billy Crook to retain. On May 5, 2024 Capane travels to an outside promotion Club Deportivo Coliseo Lucha Libre where he defended and retained against Pop Chulo. On June 22, 2024 Capane suffers a loss due to disqualification to The Ram Rock. However due to disqualification Capane retains the championship. On June 28, 2024 Capane goes back to CDC Lucha Libre to defend against Brandon Sutherland aka Guero Picante where he defended and retained to cement the longest reign in title history. On September 14, 2024 Capane was stripped of the Championship and released from Apex Wrestling Federation.
